Please double click on the map to drop a marker (your marker has to be within 0.5 mile of the study corridors). You can drag the marker to adjust the location of interest and then click on the marker to add your comments in the pop-up window. You can only add one marker at a time.
Find more details in VeraVoice’s Introduction and Quick Start for Linking Kentucky.
A) I accidently dropped an undesired marker (by double clicking on the map). How can I fix it?
Please note that you can only drop one marker at a time. To remove a dropped marker or adjust the location, you have three options:
B) Why can't I drop a marker on some locations?
It is most likely because your maker is too far from the study corridors. For the project purpose, markers are only allowed within a half-mile buffer of the study corridors.
C) Can I adjust the marker’s location while the comment box is open?
Yes. You can drag the marker to adjust its location. You should then click on the adjusted marker once again to ensure the new location is properly recorded.
D) Are there any useful boundaries available to help me locate my marker?
Yes. You can use the check-boxes at the top-right corner of the map to turn on/off study corridors and boundaries for KYTC Districts, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), and Area Development Districts (ADDs).
The Statewide Corridor Plan (Linking Kentucky) is a planning study of key transportation corridors that will provide a safer, more efficient and more reliable network to connect people, businesses and communities. The project will examine current and future transportation needs, gather insights from stakeholders, and prioritize those corridors with the greatest potential to better link Kentucky’s regions and improve mobility, accessibility and safety. Linking Kentucky is a project of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and supports the Cabinet’s mission and current and future long-range transportation plans.
Your input is vital! This site is designed to enable stakeholders to provide location-specific comments regarding transportation issues, concerns, and needs for the identified statewide study corridors. Click on the desired corridor on the map and complete and submit your comments (see instructions in Users Guide). (Note: please drop your marker on the map as accurately as possible, so we can capture the location of your comment.) Comments received will be reviewed by the Linking Kentucky Project Team, edited for clarity if needed, and displayed for others to see and vote upon.
